When people ask, “why shoot food?” the answer has as much to do with the people behind the dishes as it does the actual food. I enjoy watching people create and in their element. Watching the stylists at Roffi Salon is similar to watching a chef lean over a plate and perfectly garnish a dish. They are artists, and even better, they donated all of their time and skills last weekend for HAIRraising. All proceeds from the nationwide event, organized by John Frieda (who stopped in at Roffi for an interview) and Gail Federici, went to Children’s Hospital Boston.

Kristin Teig is an editorial and commercial photographer, specializing in food and lifestyle photography. Having grown up in San Diego, some of her earliest food memories consist of rolled tacos in aluminum foil-covered trays and bags of spicy carrots.
While studying painting in Italy during college, she shared a family meal that
sparked an obsession with documenting meals and the stories behind them.
She has spent the last five years getting to know the east coast through assignments in restaurants and homes throughout New England, and is available for travel.PARTIAL CLIENT LIST
