Chebeague Island Inn

If I told you about the some of the most peaceful places I have been, Chebeague Island Inn would be one of them.  Two of my favorite meals I had during my visit was the Warm Banana Nut Bread for breakfast (crepes stuffed with banana and vanilla bean puree, toasted walnuts and Maine maple syrup) and the Pan Seared New England Scallops for dinner (with black forbidden rice, local mushroom and fiddlehead ragout, brown butter vinaigrette).  I rode one of their bikes around the entire island during the day, and had some coffee by the fireplace in their Great Room at night.  It is a quick ferry ride from Portland and an incredible place to visit, even if just for a meal or a drink on the patio.  Visit their facebook page for updates.
